More info here

Gout is when uric acid crystals form in the joints (commonly the toes and fingers). Traditionally it was associated with the rich as gamey meat such as venison, veal and scallops have a high purine content which increases uric acid production.
You should avoid eating too much meat and drInking alcohol, and see your physician to prescribe you Allopurinol if it is appropriate for you.

People with gout need to cut down on their protein intake. There are some foods that really need to be avoided such as:
red meat
seafood
rich desserts
fried foods
coffee
liqour
simple sugars
There are some foods that are recommended...
• high in complex carbohydrates (fiber-rich whole grains, fruits, and vegetables)
• low in protein (15% of calories and sources should be soy, lean meats, or poultry)
• no more than 30% of calories in fat (with only 10% animal fats)
Seems like cruciferous veggies are good, like cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, and green leafy veggies like spinach and kale.
Foods high in vitamin C are great like red peppers, oranges, pineapple, and potatoes.
A great thing to make would be a vegetable soup (using vegetable broth) and a variety of different veggies.
Try this website...it has alot of recipes for people with gout, like coleslaw, salads, dressings, and many chicken dishes...
