I don't know about a home remedy, but I was beginning to get gout and found a remedy that worked for me. My grandmother, the wise old woman that she is, asked me if I had been eating crab and other shell fish. In fact, I was! She told me to cut shell fish out of my diet (especially crab) and it worked. Within a couple of weeks I had no symptoms. That was several years ago now and I never suffered from gout again.

Gout is a form of arthritis, so you may have to get treatment for it. Consult your doctor. Then afterwards, consult a naturopathic doctor.

Gout is considered a rich man's disease because it's a buildup of uric acid. Many rich people eat "rich" foods that are high in uric acid, like steaks.

It causes little crystals to form in your joints and cause swelling and excruciating pain there.

You may take over the counter pain medicines, like ibuprofen and aspirin to treat it and manage the pain, but still see a doctor.

A naturopath will guide you to natural remedies (like herbs) for a lot of diseases. A dis-ease is the body's way of letting you know something's wrong, therefore, it's not at ease.

It just depends on how high your uric acid level is in your body, and if it's pooling in joints, and if you eat fruits and veggies and drink lots of water.

Home remedies might help temporarily, and you may never get gout again if you do certain things and don't do certain things.
