Pain in upper sole of right foot... possibly gout? HELP!?I woke up about four mornings ago from (01/30/08) and I had a bit of redness and a tiny bit of my foot swollen. It is actually more red than swollen. This has never happened before but a day later I began walking continuously and the pain has become terribly worse. Its hard to even put a sock on without pain. I went to the doctor and they took an x-ray checked my blood and said everything was normal. I just read up on some information about gout but Ive never had that before... is it just starting? My big toe and fourth toe before my pinkie toe hurts the most. And pretty much balls of my feet are in horrible pain as well. Its really sore and tender. Does anyone know what this is and how I can cure it?

if you believe it is gout, purchase some 100% PURE cherry juice and it will help you out.
you also might want to go back to the dr to get a rx for something to help.

Anything's possible.
I had plantaar faciitis with these symptoms and boy, did it hurt. That's what it sounds like to me. I'd advise you to see a podiatrist (foot specialist) who can tell you for sure.
Here's a link that talks about plantar faciitis:

I found a lot of links talking about heel pain only, but this illustration shows the location of the plantar facia and it goes the length of the foot from the front of the heal to the toes. This means that the arch of your foot may especially hurt.

Besides plantar fasciitis, it could also be a neuroma: http://www.podiatrynetwork.com/r_neuroma.cfm#description
