Go to another Doctor, and get a second opinion.
In that case, if you have been to three doctors, and they feel you have gout, chances are that you have gout.
That is why they have M.D. behind their names.

Chances are you have Gout, however you really need to see a Podiatrist. They will examine your feet, make sure you do not have serious misalignment problems, if you do they can correct them with insoles. Gout is Gout, but serious problems with the feet need to be shown to a Podiatrist, who will probably be able to really help you! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and prolapsed disc, after all the pain found out I have a six degree deviation or inward turn on both feet. This is probably what 'caused' the disc problem. I now have special insoles to correct the feet deviation. I agree a bit late, but better late than never, beyond 6 degrees you are no longer talking orthotics but special shoes!
