is it possible to have gout at 15?my dad has had gout, and yesterday and today i woke up with extreme pain in the joint in my big toe. I have been drinking lots of soda and eating lots of bad things recently because of exam review and i heard that it can cause gout. What can i do to stop the pain

It's possible, but very very unlikely. Sympathy pain would be more likely if your dad is having a flare up. Try soaking your foot in hot water.
