is it possible for a knee to get swollen for no reason?i know, sounds strange. its been swollen. i have had xrays, mri, lymes testing, and the knee fluid checked for crystals. no arthritis, no gouts, no tears or sprains, no gonohrrea, no wierd coloring or heat to touch. its starting to clear up now, as i am gaining more movement and less pain. still fluid present, but that also is going away. doc did mention i should see a rheumatologist if it does not clear up, but like i said, it slowly is clearing up. its been swollen for about 3 weeks. any thoughts now that you see what has been medically ruled out.
