HELPPP!! (details inside)?

HELPPP!! (details inside)?My dad has GOUT, CHF, and other health problems. He is always in the hospital.

About a month ago he got gout in his right hand and wrist and it swelled up. He was on these pills for it. But he hates taking them because they make him so sleepy. Well for about the last 2 weeks its been bugging him. He says its like "electrical currents" going through his hand.They go away and then hit. When he uses that hand to write it shakes. Do you think its from being in the hospital so much? And the IVs caused nerve damage? Hes also diabetic too. It isnt his heart acting up though.

He said hes going to the doctor this week if it doesnt stop. His hand looks swollen too on top by the wrist. THats where its at. It starts at his wrist and then to his fingers. It could be the gout?
