Help! What pill can my dad take for gout pain?My dad is having a severe gout attack. He's in a lot of pain but the doctor can't see him until tommorrow. I've given him his 0.6 mg dose of colchicine and a cherry extract pill.
Is there anything else he can take or do to relieve the pain until he gets to the doctor tomorrow? I have some Vicodin - will that help?

I was told to take ibuprofen by my doctor. Don't use aspirin, makes the gout worse. He has my sympathy. Gout hurts likes the dickens.
