Every time I take a step my ankle makes a popping sound?

Every time I take a step my ankle makes a popping sound?It doesn't hurt but it's freaking me out. It also swelled up, the whole ankle AND foot, but that went away. I do get get gout but this ankle popping is not going away!

I have had the exact same issue for a while now, but with basically all my joints. My doctor said i shouldn't worry. Since there is no pain, i dont think about it much.
