Baby toe is swollen ?

Baby toe is swollen ?Ive read a bunch about it on here about it possibly being broken, fractured, gout? My pinky toe just swelled up for no reason and kind of tingles, but if I itch it, it hurts. I dont recall doing any damage to it, and it doesnt hurt to move it but pressure on it hurts. Its swelled up badly.
I brought it up to my finance and he remembered me saying something similar about my 2nd toe being the same way like two months ago.
I dont want to go to the doctor with a 30 $ copay for him to give me a painkiller that i dont need.
But if its something I need to go for, I will def go !

There are a number of possibilities, including things such as peripheral neuropathy which is sometimes a complication of diabetes. Treat it for a few days with ice, rest, and elevation and if it is no better or gets worse it might be time to see the doctor.
