I can't seem to find a actual definition on line.
Do you know? If so ~Please~ tell me. I am in serious pain.

Gout is when uric acid crystalizes in your joints. There are medications to help prevent and diets that help. Speak to your doctor, as they can prescribe the medications for you

When I was a kid, there was this older lady who came to our farm and always bought the juicy ripe tomatoes to can and eat......
Doc told her to eat lots of tomatoes...go figure.......

I don't know your age, but sure that it does have something to do with what we put in out bodies.........now, don't get scared on this next comment, but a lot of people I have known with gout....later on have problems with their hearts.........so keep it in mind. All the best to you and your toe:)

I have a male friend about 35 he has gout.He must stay away from sea foods.Your diet is a major player on our body's reactions.I know their is drugs out for this ailment.I'd go to a health food store and ask them how to treat or what will help.I'm sorry you in pain,I see my friend sometimes with it and he is ready to ball.Good luck.D

Like someone mentioned above, Gout is the crystallization of uric acid in you blood.
Some people are more susceptible to gout than other, but it can be controlled through your diet.
You need to do some research on what foods are high purine foods so you can avoid them. They include a lot of protein rich foods like meats, particularly red meats.
You can sometimes get away with a serving of fish or chicken a day, but it's better to avoid these.
Avoid alcohol and anything that dries out your body. Drink lots of water and eat lots of cherries, raw cherries and cherry juice are the best because these help dissipate uric acid from within the body.
Maybe you should avoid the peanut butter for now.
