What Causes Someone's Feet to Turn Green?My cousin told me that her daughter who's 12, feet has turned green! I told her that it could be a sign of gout or gangrene's (sp?) setting in somehow. I also think it may be some form of diabetes but she swears the child doesn't have it. The girl has been extremely overweight all of her life and my cousin keeps saying her physicals are turning out okay. I don't believe that the girl is healthy with the way she eats and the way she moves around. I've looked this up on the Internet but haven't found an answer. I wanted to see for myself. So please, can you tell me of different conditions or diseases that causes a person's feet to turn green?

I haven't seen her feet myself. My cousin called me and told me. I agree she should take her to the emergency room but she says she is going to make an appointment. That's stupid and I don't understand that action.

Is it green like if you wear a fake ring your finger turns green? Maybe fake ankle bracelet turned it green? Or is it like a grass stain green?!? I think this is out of Yahoo! users hands. This girl needs to see a doctor asap!

Cheap shoes can cause it. Damage to the legs that causes blood to pool in the feet. Gangrene possible, but if it is an appearance thing only and no pain, fever, or sores then no. Diabetes has to be very severe before the feet and legs go so she would be very sick way prior to this. Gout causes swelling and extreme pain in the toes. So if there is no pain, no swelling, just green coloration, it is either from bad shoes, bad hygiene, or pooling blood as a result of an injury. There are many diabetics in my family.. so I am very certain that it would have been obvious the girl was extremely ill long before her limbs were at danger.
