I think you know the answer already. Cherish the time you have left with you dad, and make sure to tell him you love him.
I know that this must be hard for you, and I don't want to undermine that, but remember that you had a father who loved you, and he probably doesn't want to leave either. My father never looked back when he left me. He's alive still, and I know where he is, but I don't care to see him. He doesn't want me, so I don't want him. You've been luckier then me, obvisously if you care about your father's health. At least for when your father's alive, forget about all the things he may have done wrong and just love him.

don't worrie about his illness,b more concerned with the time you have with him,cherish every day as if it is his last cause you never know,it is up to him and god. if he has the will to live then it may be longer. but please see it as when he does go that he is happier because he is no longer suffering in any way shape or form.

His kidney function in and of itself will have to get down to about 10% bbefore dialysis. No one can readily tell you how fast that will happen with all of his cardiac issues. He needs to certainly add a nephrologist to his list of Dr's. Best wishes to both of you
