Look I hear people have cured their gout and generally they are selling a book or promoting pills.
I have suffered gout for years, YES is can be maintained, and even cured but only by taking medicine that inhibits uric acid build up in the body.
But there is a price to be paid taking any gout medicine. The uric acid inhibitors are to be taken for the rest of your life, daily. They cause, hollowness of the bones, stomach problems, kidney disorders, hair loss etc. Is this worth it? I think not. There are plenty of other ways to maintain your gout but mainly it is from a low purine diet and plenty of water and lowering alcohol consumption.
