Can someone please proof read my piece and give me feedback ? please make any corrections and add ideas. Thank? This is a response I have to write for my class. Its about and interesting article called the itch I will include the website and you can read it if you like http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/…

After reading the itch I immediately thought of the experiences I witnessed when my father was ill. M and my fathers experiences are very similar, the doctors treated them both like Ginny pigs and were not able to figure out what caused there illness or a treatment to for their illness. My father's right foot had gotten very swollen like the size of a football turned red and was warm to the touch; he was not able to put any pressure on his right foot at all. My brother and I decided to take my father to the emergency room because he was not able to bare the pain. The doctors initially had diagnosed my father with gout; Gout is a medical condition that usually presents with recurrent attacks of acute inflammatory arthritis. The doctors then released my father from the hospital and prescribed him with pain medication, the same night my father's condition had gotten worse and we had to take him back to hospital. The doctors notified us that they were going to keep my father overnight to perform several tests to figure out what caused the symptoms to get worse. After a few days my father was again released from the hospital with the same condition and with more prescription drugs. Three days later my father was having unbearably pain and we had to take him into the emergency room, once again the doctors were stunned to see us their and were left clueless they could not figure out what was the cause of the swollen foot. Once again they performed more tests and came up with a second diagnoses, this time they said my father might have an infection in his foot but they were not sure and would have to do more tests and Mri's to find out if it was indeed was an infection . After performing many tests they still were not able to get a definite answer and many different doctors would be called and they would come in and ask the same questions repeatedly. When did your foot start to get swollen? What do you think caused this problem? So on and so fourth, the doctors the decided that it was an infection in the right foot and they would have to perform surgery. My father was desperate he was tired of being in bed and to be in the hospital time after time and was very frustrated why the doctors were not able to find a cure for his problem. A few days later the surgery was performed on the right foot and the doctors said "there is no infection found in the foot" yet it remained swollen. As doctors were not able to find a cure to M's itch they were not able to find a cure for my father's swollen foot and basically treated them as Ginny pigs because they found there problems out of the ordinary and it gave them a chance to experiment with them, they basically took chances not knowing the outcome, they did not think to see if what they were doing would cure the patient or make their symptoms worse.

The best advice I can give you is to download a free trial of Microsoft Word and run a spelling and grammar check on it. From what I see, the piece is interesting, it just has a lot of punctuation and grammatical errors.

I agree with the other answer. It has spelling and grammatical errors ands should be broken down into paragraphs.

I'm seeing lots of spelling problems:
After reading "The Itch", I immediately thought of the experiences I witnessed when my father was ill. M. and my father had similar experiences. The doctors appeared to treat them both as guinea pigs and were not able to determine what caused their illnesses or provide appropriate treatment for their conditions. My father's right foot had become swollen, red, painful, and warm to the touch. He was not able to bear any weight on his foot. My brother and I decided to take him to the Emergency Room as he could no longer bear the pain. The doctors initially diagnoses him as having Gout, a medical condition which usually presents with recurrent attacks of Acute Inflammatory Arthritis. The doctors then discharged my father from the hospital with a prescription for pain medication. Later that evening, my father's condition worsened, and he returned to the hospital. The doctors informed us that they would admit my father overnight in order to perform several tests. After a few days, my father was again released from the hospital with the same symptoms and with more prescription medications. Three days later, my father was having unbearable pain and he returned to the Emergency Room once again. The doctors were stunned to again see us and they were unable to determine why his foot remained swollen and painful. Once again, they performed tests and presented a second diagnosis of a possible infection. They were not certain of this however and decided that more testing would be required. After performing an MRI and additional testing, they still had no definitive answer. Many different doctors were consulted and all asked the same questions: "When did your foot start getting swollen?" "What do you think caused this problem?", and so forth. His doctors then determined that surgery was required for this possible infection. My father was desperate. He was tired of being in bed and of repeatedly being in a hospital. He was very frustrated that the doctors could not find a cure for his problem. A few days following his surgery, he was told that there was no infection found in his foot, however, his foot remained swollen. Just as the doctors were unable to find a cure to M.'s itch, they were unable to find a cure for my father's swollen foot and treated both my father and M. as guinea pigs. Because their problems were out of the ordinary, it gave the doctors the opportunity to experiment with them. They took chances, not knowing the outcome and they did not appear to consider if what they were doing might cure the patient or cause their symptoms to worsen.
