why does my foot hurt?

why does my foot hurt?okay so yesterday I was walking arourd the house and then sat down, played on my computer. Well when I got up and started walking again my left big toe felt like like it was being ripped off. Half hour later the pain subsided. When I woke up this morning right behind my big was major pain if I move or step with my foot. My mom said she thinks it might be gout, but I'm only 15 yrs. old. What else could it be?

Maybe because earlier in the week you ran into something and didn't feel any pain when it happened so the pain may have come late, it happens to me all the time.

It sounds like your Mom was right, age isn't the only determining factor of health issues.

You can sometimes get muscles to kind of cramp up on you which would be painful. To try to released whatever happened to your toe press up into the base of the toe, right next to the joint where it attaches to your foot and hold the pressure there for 30 seconds. Then make that toe point as far up as you can, release the pressure but continue holding it there for another 30 seconds. That is the best way I know how to try to release the pains that are there. Good luck.
