Gout is incurable, it can only be treated with medications and diet.

Everyone is affected differently by gout and everyone causes are also different, here's my story. I had reoccurring gout for many years, I could never figure out the cause. I had prescriptions but they hardly worked. I tried the "homeopathic" methods like black cherry juice concentrate, and apple cider vinegar. (the black cherry juice worked pretty well for a while). I tried to eliminate all kinds of food from my diet, shellfish, red meat, alcohol, chocolate, you get the idea. But nothing worked, it kept coming back. Then last November I stopped eating instant oatmeal. Not because i thought it was the cause, but because i was so sick of it. There were days when that's all i wold eat because i was afraid to eat anything else. All the info i had received from the internet and the doctor told me that oatmeal was "good" for my gout! It is now March 30, and this is the longest period of time that I have not had an attack. Because I stopped eating instant oatmeal !! F ing Oatmeal!
