Family physician referred him to orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed ankle sprain with a negative x-ray. upon history taking and physical exam I believe it was gout due to blood pressure medication that caused increase deposit of uric acid...Patient came in on two crutches on Feb 21 and was treated with MCT, he returned on Feb 23 with a slight limp but no crutches as pain and swelling greatly improved.
