you must avoid abesity by controling your eat, don't eat food rich purines.......it will help you to cure gout

Hiho
You should take plenty of fluids to help prevent dehydration and the build-up of excess uric acid crystals, which may also cause kidney stones. Seek dietary advice on fruit and vegetables which are good for potassium, which aids the excretion of uric acid by keeping the urine alkaline. Avoid alcohol or have no more than two standard drinks on any one day and not every day. Cut down on foods high in purines as they can increase levels of uric acid in the blood, causing uric acid salts to be deposited in the joints. High-purine foods include offal, meat extracts, anchovies, sardines and shellfish. Meat, pulses, poultry and fish contain moderate amounts of purine and should be limited if you normally eat a lot of these foods. Low-purine foods include fruit, fruit juices, nuts, dairy produce, eggs and veges - with the exception of spinach, peas, mushrooms, asparagus and cauliflower.
Omega-3 fatty acids can decrease the body's output of inflammatory compounds. You may find that fish-oil supplements, which contain omega-3 fatty acids, can offer some relief for painful swelling of the joints.
Controlling body weight, through a sensible diet and exercise programme can also help to relieve gout.
Avoid aspirin and aspirin-based drugs as they cause retention of uric acid and interfere with the potency of the prescribed drugs. Anti-inflammatories, like ibuprofen, can reduce the symptoms.

Unfortunately there is no permanent "cure" for gout. There are ways to prevent attacks and relieve the pain. Of course, not consuming purines helps. Basically, severely cut down on your red meat intake. Also, stop drinking alchohol or atleast cut down. These steps alone will partially lower your uric acid. Do a search for "gout diet". I've also heard that some people have taken cherry extract pills and dried or fresh cherries. Some people claim that this has reduced or prevented further gout attacks without the need of daily medication. At some point you should check the level of uric acid in your blood.

If you have a gout attack at home and dont have prescription medication, take some ibuprofen or naproxen (advil or aleve) to relieve the pain. Do not take aspirin unless you already take it for another condition. Remove any clothing that touches the area. Elevate the area as best as possible. If it's in your toe, relax with your feet elevated on pillows, etc. Use a warm compress on the area. Doctors say that this will loosen the uric acid crystals that are inflamming the joint. Lastly, drink tons of water. Now don't drink yourself to death (this is possible), but drink plenty.

It just takes time for an attack to pass. It's pretty painful and life is way better when you just take preventive measures.

There is no cure. Go to your doctor, ask about Allopurinol.
Allopurinol acts to reduce the amount of uric acid in your body, and is as simple as it gets. It does nothing to relieve the pain of gout flares however. For that there are anti-inflammatory drugs, colchicine is the age old remedy for flares, or naproxen and other nsaids, and celebrex is currently being studied for approval by the FDA for treatment of gout flares..
Allopurinol works, but in some people it can start to screw up your liver.
A new medication called Febuxostat has been approved for use in Europe, and should soon be approved by the FDA, is supposed to work better with less side affects.
DON"T BELIEVE ANYONE who tells you that red meat and alcohol is the cause of your gout. That is a misconception from ancient times, the so called "Disease of the Kings". Higher protein foods have higher purine content, but all protein contains purines. Your gout is caused by your bodies inability to eliminate uric acid, nobody knows why. The uric acid forms crystals which get stuck in your joints, which causes the inflammation. You can avoid high protein organ meats such as liver, and shellfish too they say, but you still have to eat, and drink, and the uric acid will build no matter what, (without medication.) So don't let anyone try to lay a guilt trip on you about your diet or your alcohol consumption, that's crap.
Home remedies like cherries or cherry juice is crap too. I have tried them all, and by far the best remedy is to go to the doctor, and get some real medications.

Organic apple cider vinegar take 2 tablespoons and mix it in a glass of cranberry juice or water or any liquid. My father was suffering from gout on his big toe joint then on his ankle for years I watched him stay home from work and in pain. I searched the internet and told him to take organic apple cider vinegar and he did. It has been 2 years since he started drinking ACV and he has not had any gout flareups. The doctors gave him some harsh prescription meds that didn't help him, but organic apple cider vinegar I use (Braggs) you can get it at Henry's or any health food store for under $ 3 a bottle.
