how can I make more friends over the summer ?

how can I make more friends over the summer ?I just moved to a new city and all of my friends live like and hour away . I don't know many peoplee , the only person I ever han gout with here is my girlfriend . I know some people but we never hung out , outside of school . I'm not unsocial , I just never made many friends yet . I dont want to join a club or anything . any advice ?

try doing things you enjoy, skate boarding, going to the beach, bowling.... ask your girlfriend to introduce you to some people if she lives in the new place you're at, or find out where people get together at in that town. i'm in south carolina on vacation, and my aunt told me that some ice cream shop is where people my age hung out and managed to get a friend or two.... also, be open to talking with strangers because it's a new place. by that i mean be open to everyone, don't pick and choose, because friends come from the weirdest places and when you least expect it

To make friends let thme know you want to be there friend by inviting them over for a sleepover or somehting. Or if you don't want to do anything at your house yet then invite them to go to the mall or movies or bowling or minigolf or something like that. Soing little stuff together will turn into something bigger. Best of Luck
