FOOT PAIN please HELP?

FOOT PAIN please HELP?Monday morning i woke up with a little bit of pain in my big toe, as the day went on it got swollen and bruised. Went to the Doctor this morning, he thought it was a stress fracture but x-ray showed none. He said its not gout, it may be Cellulitis or a sprain, it's not red ot no open cuts on foot so he really doesn't think it is Cellulitis, its not a sprain i didn't hurt myself, ANY HELP? IDEAS?

u may have kicked ur foot when u were sleeping, try to stay off it for a while

may have had a light charlie horse in your sleep which may have led to a blood vessel popping causing the swelling, and pain to the touch, if is this will cause some bruising and hard to walk. no worry, may take a week for all to go away, but it will be okay. something your doc should have considered asking or even looking more into.

just dip your feet in hot water( that is bearable) for 15 mins and don't forget to add a teaspoon or two of salt .. this is a home remedy and you will feel relaxed .. it could be the result of wearing tight footwear or a new pair and then walking too much

Dr Rutledge talks about Uric Acid and Death

Dr Rutledge talks about the role of urate, xanthine oxidase and the effects of allopurinol in vascular oxidative stress. Oxidative stress plays an important role in the progression of vascular endothelial dysfunction. The two major systems generating vascular oxidative stress are the NADPH oxidase and the xanthine oxidase pathways. Allopurinol, a xanthine oxidase inhibitor, has been in clinical use for over 40 years in the treatment of chronic gout. Allopurinol has also been shown to improve endothelial dysfunction, reduce oxidative stress burden and improve myocardial efficiency by reducing oxygen consumption in smaller mechanistic studies involving various cohorts at risk of cardiovascular events. This article aims to explain the role of xanthine oxidase in vascular oxidative stress and to explore the mechanisms by which allopurinol is thought to improve vascular and myocardial indices. New studies to be presented at the Paris Meeting for the International Federation for Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Diseases show that in a controlled prospective 5 year trial the MGB is better than the RNY gastric bypass.
