How often do you have these gout attacks? There's really no cure for gout. We can treat the symptoms with indomethacin, or if you're having attacks really frequently, you can be started on probenecid or sulfinpyrazone to increase the urinary excretion of uric acid. However, unless you're having the attacks really frequently, it's not really recommended to be started on these medications, as you'd need to take them for the rest of your life to prevent recurrance of gout.

Have you ever tried any changes to your lifestyle? The first thing you should do is reduce intake of stuff like meat, avoid eating large meals, and reduce alcohol intake. All of these things can contribute to development of gout.
