What would cause cyclical knee and heel pain/swelling?

What would cause cyclical knee and heel pain/swelling?For the past 2 months my knee and heel have been hurting me. It starts with my heel starting to get very tender, and then extremely painful and a bit swollen. I have to limp around to move. Then my calf muscle cramps up too. After my heel starts to feel a bit better my knee gets grossly swollen and also very painful to walk on. I had 90 cc's of fluid removed from my knee last month, and another 60 cc's a few weeks ago. From the time my heel starts to hurt until the swelling in my knee disappears takes about 10 days total. I have been to the ER once, to an orthopedic doctor, a rhuematologist and a GI specialist. Nobody seems to have any answers. I have had lab tests for CBC, RA Factor, ANA, ESR, Gout, Septic, and two Lymes tests. On top of that I had a colonoscopy yesterday where they were looking for Crohns Disease. All of my tests have come back fine, but my leg has been doing this for the past 2 months, it is mid-stage right now which makes it the 4th time it has done this. I this I am damaging my knee joint and calf muscles due to all of the pressure from the fluid inside my knee. Please help point me in the right direction for finding out what is wrong. =(

That sounds like the way my sons Crohns started out. After that it took them almost another 2 years to finally diagnose it. Is your white cell count elevated?
