What is a symptom of an allergic reaction to tomato?Whenever i eat tomato within 15 mintues i feel tired, like really tired, and lightheaded, dizzy, my eyes go really weird, like if there is a light on in the room for some reason it flickers in my eyes, i ask my work mates and they say the light is fine. Am i allergic to uric acid? could it be gout? Its been happening for about 2 months, and i also have polycystic kidney disease.... is there some sort of connection there? I love tomato and i refuse to stop eating it, has anyone else experienced this before? and if so, how did you fix it?
I can eat Napoli sauce, tomato sauce, sun dried tomatos and anything else containing tomatoes just not tomatoes themselves, and i eat salt in ridiculous amounts and its never bothered me, like i'll cover my food in salt, i just crave it all the time... If its cooked tomato i sorat have the same effect just not so bad

Could be anything from a mild rash to your airways swelling closed. Depends on each individual. Most allergic reactions get worse everytime you have one for that specific allergy.

The uric acid could be bothering your kidney's. I am allergic to tomato too. If I cut it, my hands break out into hives. But I can eat ketchup! lol.
There may be too much salt in the tomato and thats not good for your kidneys. I have kidney problems too, so I get lectured about the salt intake all the time.
If you insist on eating the tomato, make sure you drink a lot of water with it to dilute the amount of salt being filtered by your kidneys.
