What is the problem with my foot?I'm 18 now, when I was in 5th grade (like 9 or 10?) I was riding a scooter and when I went to stop, my foot twisted underneath my scooter (so basically the top of your foot that you normally see was the part that was flat on the ground, and the sole of my foot was turned upward, underneath the scooter). My foot hurt really badly after that, I could barely walk, and 2 days later my mom took me to the doctor. He never even took an x-ray or anything, he just laughed at me, said I sprained my ankle and sent me off without medicine or crutches or anything. I'm not sure how long it took to notice, maybe a few months after the swelling went down though, my foot looked (and still looks) completely deformed. On the outer side of my foot (ankle side), there's a huge mass that juts out where my foot should be completely straight. It feels completely hard, like it could be bone. My dad swears that it couldn't have been my bone, he also kind of lives behind the idea that it's probably gout, but I've looked up the symptoms of gout and that's basically an impressive amount of pain. I don't feel any pain from this at all. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with my foot? I'd go to the doctor or hospital, but they're both really far away, so there's no point in going if I'm just going to be laughed at again.
