It's not as bad as last month: just the slightest wiggle was painful. now, he can move around using crutches, but it's still painful for him. my question is what will help clear it up? If it helps, he's 78.
Also, another important question: The electrolytes used at the hospital....i know they're much more potent then what you buy at the store. but is there a version of it that I can buy that's not the kind for babies? this stuff: http://images.bizrate.com/resize?sq=140&uid=1418969769
not looking for that, because that's what he's been taking for the past few weeks. i need a stronger version of that that a normal person can get without going to the hospital (although that may be an option in the future, don't know yet). Thanks!

eat healthy! LOTS of vegetables! LOTS of water!

Straight up he should be juicing fresh green vegies and drinking them ..... cut the end off a bunch of celery and cut off the leaves and peel a lime lemon or apple and juice it all up and get him to drink that...... chock full of the living enzymes that every single cell in your system needs to function effectively... also full of the natural antiflammatory vitamin C ....... what i had the most luck with.... and it permanently dissolved my early age gout symptoms in my big toes ..... i ditched eating red meat..... and instead am eating things like lentils, peas and beans and brown rice and wholemeal breads in combination to form a whole protein...... brown rice and legumes and pulses are all rich in iron so you won't miss out there either ...... try it on him... meat is awfully hard to digest and they do some wicked things in the "preservation" of the meat ..... not to mention the hormones and antibiotics the poor creatures are pumped full of....... a shock for me .... but an extremely pleasant one.
and of course drink more water and eat more fresh foods such as salads and green vegies.
bless u
