this problem has persisted for nearly a year. I am currently under the supervision of a doctor since Feb. for this condition. I have had several teats, including blood work and nerve conduction. my concern is that the doctor doesn't seem to know what is wrong.

I think I would definately find a new DR. Get a second opinion.

It's great that you're going to a specialist! Unfortunately, I haven't any medical knowledge to sugges what it might be. A simple sprain? or muscle spasms perhaps? If nothing comes of the specialist's, try searching on Women's health websites!
Good luck!

I had those symptoms in my wrist ( but my wrist would have a burning sensation in it at times, also) ..... i had a cyst that had come up..... the symptoms happened about a week or so before the knot appeared.... Maybe this could be the same with your wrist ..... but I did have to go to a specialist...... Hope this gives you some help

Did the doctor do blood or other tests? Maybe a connective tissue disease or fibromyalgia, or pinched nerve. When you go to the doctor tell them ALL of your symptoms, even if you think its not connected, fatigue etc.

It could be higher up in the arm and be Pronator syndrome. The nerves get trapped near the elbow, causing pain in the hand and if nerve damage has occurred, you'll begin dropping things, or not have a strong grip. The surgery is far more serious than carpal tunnel, see an orthopaedic surgeon.
Orignal From: Problem with my wrist, it's not gout, tendinitis, or carpal tunnel.?
