Yes it can affect finger joint also though not very frequently.It is a kind of arthritis affecting a joint, usually the big toe.Over time it can harm other joints,tendon and other tissues too.Presence of excessive uric acid in blood form hard crystals in joints.Your chances of getting gout are higher if you are overweight,drink too much alcohol or eat too much meat or fish that are higher in chemicals called purines.Use of certain drugs like diuretics can also bring up gout.It usually affects foot ankles or knees.
