just eat lots of fruit and vegetable but keep your portions of meat small. You cant eat too much vegies. If they are expensive to buy then have you thought about growing your own vegie garden?

I may be a kid but I can answer these kinds of questions. First of all I know many foods in civilization are very tempting to buy in a bad economy like this. But one thing is do not get tempted. One problem buster is to drink a lot of water. Sometimes thirst can be mistaken for hunger, resulting in weight gain. Also if your family drinks soda, there is a cheap, similar, healthy alternative. There is a water I drink cans of every day. It is called La Croix. It comes in many flavors and here is the ingredient list: Carbonated Water, Natural Flavors. Thats it! It costs the same as soda. If you have gum chewing children, stop! A chemical in it is aspatane. This causes cancers and diabetes like diabetes like type 2 which your daughter has. this is also in soda. If you have your kids buy lunch, stop them. Choices are more expensive, and greasy. Try to make healthy, cheap sandwiches like cucumber and cheese. If you are desperate at a point to buy pizza or something else greasy, put layers of napkins on the pizza. You will be surprised how much grease will soak up in it! For meats, turkey is the healthiest. It is also cheaper. Try to avoid cookies and cake, these are just empty calories. Vegetables, especially dark green ones are really good for your heart, so make sure your daughter gets plenty of these. Sometimes if you have an eagerness for some chocolate, try dark. This is better than other kinds, even though this is not good for you. If you need fruits, do not buy pre-sliced. Instead buy whole fruit and try cutting it yourself. After doing this like once a while, you will save money. If your children have school nearby, get them to ride their bike so that they get used to doing it so they burn calories. I really hope this helps. but remember to inform your kids these facts to get them in this habit so they go into adulthood informed about weight loss. Im only in middle school with an IQ of 130. Work hard and you can accomplish anything!!! Hope I could Help!!!
